2024 R2OC Scholarship Application
Rock River Robotics Off-season Competition (R2OC) is celebrating its 12th year of hosting fun and successful
offseason competitions! We are continuing our partnership with RVC Foundation and will award the following scholarships at this year’s
competition on July 27, 2024. These scholarships are available to students whose FRC team is competing in the 2024 R2OC event.
**One $1500 RVC Foundation Game Changer Scholarship sponsored by the RVC Foundation will be awarded to a 2024 graduating HS student who is accepted to attend Rock Valley College in the upcoming fall semester.
**One $1000 scholarship, In Memory of Norma J. Trojan, will be awarded to a 2024 graduating high school student who is accepted to attend Rock Valley College in the upcoming fall semester
**Two $1000 Scholarships will be awarded to two students who are applying for the following scholarship: R2OC Scholarship for high school students who will be graduating in either 2024 or 2025. The scholarship money will be sent to the college the winning students has chosen to attend. Winners will be announced during the R2OC event on July 27, 2024

To be eligible for these scholarships, the applicant must be a member of an FRC team that is
participating in the R2OC event being held on July 27, 2024 at RVC. For winning applicants,
R2OC will award a check written, in the name of each winning student, to his or her appropriate
school account. The scholarship monies can be used to pay for tuition. In the event that the
students does not have any tuitions expenses, the monies can be applied towards the
purchasing of books, dorm housing, or other college expenses paid through the college.
*Previous winners are ineligible to apply for the scholarships

Grants: Grants are available at the start of each semester.
R2OC and Rock Valley Foundation are offering grants to students in grades 9-12 who are currently members of a FTC or FRC Team and are participating in one of the following classes/programs at RVC: Duel Credit; Running Start; or Summer Manufacturing
Several grants, in the amount of $500 each, will be awarded to students after completed applications are scored by the R2OC Grant/Scholarship Committee These grants will be awarded at the start of each semester: Fall, Sprinig and Summer
RVC Foundation will deposit their grant money into their RVC student account. The money can be used to purchase books and other supplies needed for classes. Winners will be recognized at the 2024 R2OC event or the 2025 R2OC event, depending on the school year for which the student was awarded their grant. A student may receive a grant once per school year.
